Annual Flower Show 2024

We were delighted by the huge number of first time trophy winners at yesterdays Annual Musselburgh Community Flower & Crafters Show.

Normally too many of the MHS Committee scoop the most trophies (although we are all amateur too). It was a breath of fresh air to see so many new exhibitors this year.

It shows that our plan to move away from the old fashioned shows with seriously competitive very experienced growers is beginning to bear fruit and encourage local Gardeners & Crafters to showcase their best efforts. This years Musselburgh Community Flower & Craft show showcased many exhibits from amateur people who had never previously entered a flower show.

One such person was Suzanne Gibson who walked away with 2 trophies. Suzanne won The Harry Owens Trophy for ‘Best Exhibit in Cut Flowers’ and the very much prized Tom Robinson Trophy for the ‘Best Pot Plant’ in this years show.

There was a significant increase in entries into our Childrens classes with some absolutely fabulous entries.
